Shimmering Silver is a husband and wife collaboration.
Our story: We met in high school, where we were members of the first graduating class of a brand new school in a Dallas suburb. He was a football star and rock ‘n roll musician with John Travolta looks. She was a school band member and class most beautiful. He had a crush on her, but she had a boyfriend, so they never connected. Flash forward 39 years……… The very first time she ever ventured into social networking, she stumbled onto his page and sent him a quick note. We exchanged a few notes and then met for dinner. There were a few get-togethers, including one memorable evening in which he napped during a movie, but the real love story began on her birthday. Across the table at a Greek restaurant, there was the sudden recognition of unconditional love. A little over three months later and almost 40 years after high school graduation, we were married in an intimate ceremony in her home.
Reason for doing: Partnering on this project allows us to spend more time together, and since our romance started rather late in life, it is especially important to us to make up for lost time. It also gives us one more thing to share. We bring different perspectives and talents to this process, and have found that as we discuss the various facets of the business planning process, we are actually gaining a deeper understanding of one another and a greater appreciation of each other’s abilities.
Family business. Both have personally worked in retail; he has owned restaurants. Both are professionals who hold licenses required for our respective professions.

Teri – Customer service from restaurant experience. CPA license – requires ethics classes.
